APWAPS at the Beijing +20 CSO Forum

APWAPS will co-host with Asia Justice and Right (AJAR) a workshop on “Women’s Experiences and Responses to Violence in Conflict:  Progress and Priorities on Critical Area E” at 9.00-10.30am, 15 November 2014, at Trang Hotel, Bangkok as part of the CSO Forum on the 20-year review of the Beijing Platform for Action.

A key theme of the CSO Forum is accountability in meeting commitments under BPfA.  For APWAPS, critical area E on women and armed conflict is a priority.  We look forward to discussion with CSOs tomorrow on how to promote accountability to the concerns and needs of women in conflict affected communities.
