Related activities on women, peace and security Since 2007 up to the present, AKKAPKA as an organization and with its 3 fold program on Formation, Information and Transformation had conducted several seminars on Gender-Sensitive Active Nonviolence Seminars and Inclusion of the values of UNSCRs 1325and 1820 for women who are affected by war and conflict. In Mindanao, 200 women from local government units and tribal leaders went thru the trainings. The women participants were helped and healed from the trauma of war conflicts and consciousness raising of the equal dignity of both men and women. In one municipality in South Upi, Maguindanao, as a support to the Philippine National Action Plan (NAP) for UNSCRs 1325/1820 – a resolution was passed by the Local Municipal Council in 2013 to promote and support NAP. These program initiatives were supported and funded by the Office and Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) and the WE ACT 1325 (Women Engaged in UNSCR 1325).     AKKAPKA is also a member of the network of International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR) and Women’s Peacemakers Program (WPP).
